Garlic Sauce
- 1/2 stick (1/4c.) unsalted butter or vegan butter
- 2T. EV Olive Oil
- 4 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 2T. all-purpose flour (or GF all-purpose/rice flour)
- 2 1/2c. chicken stock (or vegetable stock)
- 1T. fresh basil, chopped
- salt & pepper to taste
1) Place a saute pan over medium heat and add butter and olive oil
2) Add garlic and saute until fragrant and soft
3) Add the flour and cook for 1 minute
4) Add chicken stock and simmer until thickened, then add the chopped basil
5) Taste and then season with salt and pepper
Serve over any kind of pasta, top with your choice of protein or some fresh cut tomatoes
