Pumpkin Pie
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 2 large eggs
- 1 can pumpkin
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 1 unbaked pie shell
Mix the sugar, salt, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves in a small bowl. Beat the eggs in a large bowl, then stir in the pumpkin and the sugar-spice mixture. Gradually stir in the evaporated milk. Pour the filling into the pie shell. Bake the pie in an oven preheated to 425 degrees for 15 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 350 and bake for an additional 40-50 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
