  • 2 1/2 cups Chicken cooked and chunked
  • 8 oz Broccoli
  • 1 med Onion
  • 4 oz Carrots
  • 4 Tbs Margarine
  • 4 Tbs Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/8 tsp Pepper
  • 1/8 tsp Ground Sage
  • 3 cups Milk
  • 4 slices Bacon, cooked
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese
  • 6 sandwich size loaves of bread

Steam broccoli and carrots.

Brown onions in margarine with salt pepper and ground sage.

Add flour and stir. Add milk and boil 1 minute. Stir in broccoli, carrots, bacon, and chicken.

Cut out the center of a loaf of French bread leaving 1/2 inch on all sides and bottom. Brush with butter and garlic powder. Brown in oven.

Fill bread with chicken and broccoli mixture and top with cheese. Return to oven until cheese is melted. Serve.
