Bread
- 1/2 c margarine
- 1 c sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 Tbsp sour milk
- 2 c flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 c finely chopped apples
Topping
- 2 Tbsp margarine
- 2 Tbsp flour
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Cream margarine and sugar. Add eggs and beat until fluffy. Dissolve baking soda in sour milk, then add to egg mixture. Sift together flour and salt, then add to egg mixture. Blend in vanilla. Fold in apples. Pour into greased 9x5 loaf pan.
Use a pastry blender to cut all the topping ingredients together, then sprinkle mixture on top of bread batter.
Bake for 1 hour at 325.
